Nestled in the country setting of Pungo we are surrounded by nature offering your child the unique experience of our hands on approach to learning through exploring their world.
Our teachers maintain an open door policy and encourage regular parent-teacher communication. You will be provided with a daily report, along with parent-teacher conferences scheduled throughout the year to keep you informed of your child’s progress.
Each month you will receive a newsletter letting you know what each class will be focusing on that month and a calendar will be provided to keep you informed of all upcoming activities, birthdays etc.
"Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it."

(6 weeks ‐ 18 months)
This program is specifically tailored to foster a loving and nurturing relationship between teacher and child. A lesson plan is developed monthly focusing on a specific theme. This nurturing environment provides stimulating experiences to encourage social/emotional development, and gross and fine motor skills.
You will find our infant nursery to be quite different than many other daycare settings. This room was designed to feel like a home nursery. At nap time overhead lights are dimmed, a soft lamp and soothing music provide the perfect atmosphere to lull your little one to sleep.
A daily report is provided to give you a snapshot of your baby's day. Teachers track milestones and a parent teacher conference is held twice a year to let you know about your child's progress.
"All your children shall be taught by the LORD; and great shall be the peace of your children."
(Isaiah 54:13, ESV)
(18 months ‐ 3½ yrs)
We lovingly refer to this group as our "Wild Ones". Toddlers are so inquisitive and eager to learn, touch, and play with everything they get their little hands on.
Children will have a morning and afternoon circle time where the teacher will read, sing and have group play where they will learn about colors and shapes. Our hands-on approach to learning encourages social/emotional development and gross/fine motor skills through a variety of centers: manipulatives, dramatic play, block play, arts and crafts, and story time.
A lesson plan is prepared monthly to ensure your child is reaching all necessary milestones. Twice a day (weather permitting) children will have outside play where they can explore the world around them.
You will receive a daily report to keep you informed of your little one's day along with a parent teacher conference twice a year to keep you up to date on your child's progress.
"Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long in the land that the LORD your God is giving you."
(Exodus 20:12, ESV)
(3½ ‐ 5 yrs potty‐trained)
Preschoolers are eager to learn new concepts. Our curriculum focuses on language and literacy, social and emotional development, gross/fine motor development, math and science. Through creative play they will learn the basics of ABCs and 123s, colors, numbers, days of the week, weather and early writing. Children will improve their social skills through group play, learning to respect one another and the world around them. Due to our smaller class size they will also enjoy plenty of one-on-one time with their teacher.
Each morning circle time begins with a pledge to the American Flag, the Christian Flag, and the bible. Our faith based curriculum teaches good manners and solid values. Each meal and snack begins with a prayer giving thanks for their food. Children will express their creative side through art and music; they are encouraged to dance and sing and use their imagination. Twice a day (weather permitting) children will have outside time to explore their world and go on an adventure, learning about plants and insects, they will engage in water and sand play.
Parents will receive a daily report about their child's day, what they ate, how long they napped and what they enjoyed. Parent teacher conferences are scheduled quarterly to keep you up to date on your child's progress.
